After you have made some progress and learned the basics you can switch to more advanced channels on Youtube that offer free Norwegian lessons by natives (Norwegians are not so buttoned-up after all, I guess!) who have done remarkable work.

If you are not an absolute beginner, then you most probably are familiar with "Norsklærer Karense" on YouTube, but it doesn't hurt to post the link of her channel just in case!

Though it might be difficult at first to keep up with her, because she only speaks in Norwegian, in time this will prove to be extremely beneficial, on many levels. After all, she has a great, theatrical way to explain whatever she says, which makes it impossible not to understand. And since I managed to do it, so can you!

There sure are way more channels on YouTube to pick from of course but, for me, Karense's channel is the most well structured and covers all the Norwegian grammar, gives examples of everyday expressions and idioms, offers analysis on how the exams are structured, and conducted and many more.
